Nancy Baptiste
Nancy “Nana” Paiva Baptiste, 88, of Honokaa died July 5, 2015, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Ahualoa, she was a retired candy helper with the former Honokaa Macadamia Nut Factory, member of the Honokaa Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Honokaa Senior Citizens.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. July 29 at the Honokaa Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 in Hilo.
She is survived by son, Alvin (Helen) Baptiste of Kawaihae; daughter, Alvera (Milton) Camara of Ahualoa; sister, Dolores Amaral of California; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Kirino Salomon
Kirino “Chris” Salomon, 85, of Ookala died July 13, 2015, at home. Born March 28, 1930, in Hilo, he was a retired tractor operator for Hamakua Sugar Co. and a U.S. Army veteran.
Friends may call at 6 p.m. July 29 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. July 30 at the mortuary for a 10 a.m. service. Family request casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome. Burial will follow at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by sons, Christopher (Vanessa) Salomon of Hilo, Dexter (Sheila) Salomon of Maui; daughters, Judy Enocencio, Renee Salomon, both of Hilo, Karen Salomon of Illinois; sisters, Carlotta Cablay of Maui, Adele Madarang of Arizona; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Andres Acob
Andres Cubangbang Acob, 64, of Keaau died July 9, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 30, 1950, in Cabaruan Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a papaya farmer and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. July 30 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. July 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. Mass. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome. Burial will follow at Homelani Memorial Park.
He is survived by wife, Ana Acob of Keaau; daughters, Rubyrose (Byron Agustin) Ventura, Rosalie (Fausto Garcia) Acob, both of Keaau; mother, Felicidad Acob of Kauai; four grandchildren; sisters, Virgie (Vidal) Ramiscal of Honolulu, Delia (Narcelo) Corcino, Donna (Rommel) Carnate of Kauai; brothers, Macario (Charita) Acob, Rogelio (Nieves) Acob, Rosalino (Betty) Acob, all of Philippines, Henry (Minda) Acob, Noel (Janet) Acob, both of Kauai; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
